Skin Care and Skin Therapy is an integral part of any successful beauty clinic or aesthetic practice. This workshop will cover the fundamentals of skin care for both in-clinic use and home based treatments. You will learn how to recommend the appropriate skin solutions to help achieve the results your clients desire.

This course covers how to choose and perform popular facial peels, LED therapy and microneeedling treatments offered in the industry. You will also learn about the functions and procedures for microdermabrasion. The goal is to equip you with skills and knowledge in skin therapy solutions to treat common skin conditions and enhance overall cosmetic therapy outcomes.

 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, you should be able to:

  • Know how to use the SkinScope for skin analysis
  • Identify the different skin types and conditions
  • Identify treatment options for the appropriate skin types
  • Know how to recommend and perform peels, microneedling and microdermabrasion
  • Understand how to conduct sucessful consultations with pre and post care

 

Requirements

This workshop is aimed at all practitioner levels that are able to perform this treatment within their scope of practice as determined by their local regulatory body. You must have basic knowledge of skin science or have completed our online course Fundamentals of Skin Science.

You must have insurance coverage for this procedure. You will be required to either participate as a model for the hands-on skin treatments, or bring along someone else to be your model.

 

Course Components

Hands-On Training

The practical training will cover important theory information and focus mainly on the hands-on approach of the procedure where you will have the opportunity to treat your own patient. This includes treatment consultation and planning, choosing the appropriate product tailored to your patient, taking clinical photos and much more.

This is carried out in an actual medical aesthetics clinic, where health and safety standards are met according to local regulatory guidelines.
