The violin is one of the hardest instruments to play. Its benefits are plenty with students learning posture, concentration, multi-tasking skills, and discipline.
As students get older and more proficient on the violin we will look to lengthen the lessons to 45 minutes or an hour.
We also provide one-on-one lessons for adults, catering the structure and content to each adult student’s learning style and previous music experience.
We require our students to own or hire a violin before taking up lessons with Novar Music. This is beneficial for the student as they become familiar with the instrument and can use it to practice at home between lessons.

The Violin is a string instrument, usually with four strings tuned in perfect fifths. It is the smallest and highest-pitched member of the violin family of string instruments, which also includes the viola and cello, and occasionally the double bass.
Violin is an instrument that can be learnt at almost any age from around 4 years. Adults can also happily learn violin and thoroughly enjoy it!
Our Violin teacher, Michael, gets students to love the Violin by teaching them to play popular rock, pop, and classical songs while implementing basic concepts and skills like bowing techniques, finger placement, scales, intonation, key differentiation, and rhythm.
Oxygen Music Lessons has a dedicated violin department that is highly educated and motivated to see students, young and old, progress on the violin.
