We provide group lessons to children 5-12 years of age and private tuition for the advancing student 13 years and older.
Once a student has been learning for two or three years they can join a local children’s orchestra, and other ensembles. The violin is not just a classical instrument, but is popular in gypsy and folk groups as well as being included in some rock and pop bands.
Rata has strong links with the creative industry and many of Wellington’s most respected arts professionals share their knowledge and skills in our state of the art, world class facilities.
Hires are available in 1/4,1/2, 3/4 and full size instruments. Students must have completed a minimum of recorder level 1 or 9 yrs old before enrolling in violin beginner lessons.
