Singing lessons are very popular, and can be a rewarding and meaningful development in your musical journey. Whether your interest in Classical, Jazz, Pop or Scottish Folk Music we cater for it all.

Many of our students learn for enjoyment, although we o?er educational options such as completing ABRSM exams, school exams or preparing for concerts. The singing is a great and serious way to develop your musical skills.

Our singing tutors are very highly recommended due to their extensive training, years of teaching and performing experience - their ability to form a fantastic teaching bond with students of all ages and experience shows their excellent teaching methods.

  • Sarah Power is a professional opera singer and voice teacher who was born in Dublin. She gained a BMus and MMus from the TU Conservatory in Dublin before moving to Manchester and obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music. She then went on to complete the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, followed by a year at the National Opera Studio. Shortly afterwards Sarah was invited to join Scottish Opera as an Emerging Artist and since then she has made Glasgow her home. Sarah has appeared in productions for Welsh National Opera, Buxton Opera Festival, Wexford Festival Opera and Irish National Opera and made her debut for Scottish Opera in the title role of Handel’s Rodelinda. She has been involved in the premiere of many works, including Hazel: Made in Belfast at the Carnegie Hall, New York, Mary Gordon with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra at the National Concert Hall Dublin and Janice Kerbel’s Turner Prize-nominated work DOUG at the Tramway in Glasgow. Since 2013 Sarah has worked regularly with Scottish Opera’s Education Department and the Scottish Opera Young Company, a group of highly-talented young performers between the ages of 16 and 21. She has appeared in five full-scale opera productions with the Young Company and given coachings in Scotland and at The Tanglin Trust School in Singapore. She has also participated in education workshops with Clonter Opera, Cheshire and at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Sarah is an ISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians) Registered Private Teacher and has a DBS/PVG Enhanced Disclosure, which enables her to work with children and vulnerable adults. She teaches students of all ages and abilities and in a variety of styles including classical, opera, musical theatre, folk and pop. She can help you to improve your breathing, posture, confidence, musicianship and repertoire, all in a friendly, fun and relaxed environment. She is also happy to enter students for graded exams if desired. Whether you’d like to sing in a choir, as a soloist or purely for your own pleasure Sarah can help you to discover your true voice!
