Students will learn singing methods such as blending tone, acapella singing, coordinated diction and following a conductor. Basic music theory will be taught through the incorporation of harmonic singing and sight reading.

Should you be interested in preparing for your Royal Conservatory of Music Exams, preparations and music theory tutorials can also be available upon request.

Upon recommendation by your coach, you may be invited to compete at local music competitions. The Academy’s Vocal Department is award-winning in the Lower Mainland.

Our vocalists have won titles at the BC Provincials and are training in institutes such as UBC’s Opera Department, the University of Lethbridge Voice Department, the University of Toronto’s Opera Department and are singing at theatres and on stages across the globe from as close to home as Vancouver to as far off as Italy.
