  • Teacher's Experience
  • Rose graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. She was a finalist in the 2019 and 2020 Zita Bernstein German Lieder Competition and has been a finalist in multiple classes at the AMAF Provincial Festival. Rose started taking voice lessons at the age of 7 and worked through all the Royal Conservatory Music before entering the university and continuing with Tracy Dahl. In her flute studies, Rose made her way through the RCM books and continued taking lessons in university. She teaches beginner to university-entry levels, and students of all ages. For both voice and flute, Rose loves to perform solo and with ensembles – her favourite ensemble being her family. Though she mainly focused on classical music in her studies, Rose loves to explore and teach other genres, such as musical theatre, popular music, folk, sacred, rock and many others. In her approach to teaching students, she works with the students’ goals and guides them through the discovery of their instrument with whatever songs and styles they wish to sing/play. Rose has worked with many young musicians as young as 5 to prepare songs be it for festival, a concert, a performance for grandma, or even just for the love of singing/playing. Rose guides her students through the depth and the flow of musicality with their instrument. She loves teaching music because of the connections made between the teacher and student. Because of her love for the human voice and body as a natural instrument, Rose’s goal is to cultivate a healthy and nurturing way to create music.
