Whether you want to sing happy birthday for a loved one, hone a performance, work toward Royal Conservatory examinations, prepare for an audition or festival such as Kiwanis, our voice lessons are suitable for any student, young to adult, beginner to advanced.
Private vocal lessons are available for young beginners as early as 9 years old. We encourage younger students interested in voice to either start with group lessons or private lessons in piano with a vocal coach. This way, students gain a core musical foundation and basic keyboard theory in preparation for dedicated voice lessons when the time comes.
Our voice students are encouraged to work out of the following school curriculum recommended by their teacher, and may also work on their favourite songs during their lessons as well, with licensed popular sheet music.
South Windsor School of Music has been providing our neighbourhood community with quality private music education in Windsor, Ontario, Canada for over 20 years.
Our school is located in Yorktown Plaza at the central intersection of Dominion & Grand Marais in South Windsor with plenty of free parking. Our studio is partially wheelchair accessible.
When joining us for In-School instrument lessons, you’ll find smiling faces, brightly coloured décor, and displays of student’s work proudly pasted on the walls in our lobby.
Our Front Desk offers sales for our school’s supplies, instruments and curriculum books. Front Desk staff is available to assist you. Individual lesson rooms have musical reference charts, fine art, yamaha, clavinova, digital pianos, and acoustic instruments hung on the walls.
Students and parents can expect to come to a nice, clean, organized and professional studio. Please wear a mask to our school and sanitize your hands before your lesson.
We also offer our private lesson services remotely, in addition to great group programming. The Hub of our Virtual School is Zoom, where students use the same login information week after week for the recurring private one-on-one lessons.
Just like In-School, students and their families meet together with our Front Desk for a quick hello, before breaking out into separate rooms for a safe, private lesson with their Instructor.
Front Desk is on hand during lessons for support and assistance. Our Instructors are dedicated to providing you with a high quality Virtual Lesson.
Vocal technique is a required class for all students enrolled in competitive musical theatre or the Mini Express & The Expressions. Students learn proper singing technique, in addition to basic music theory, performance skills, and self-confidence.
Discovering your lovely, natural voice and speech is enjoyable, rewarding, and maybe not as difficult as it might seem. Many of us leave this incredible resource untapped, whether we're singing or talking.
