VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy

If you are looking for a change of career and becoming a professional aromatherapist, this course is for you!  The Professional Aromatherapy Training course includes all the following VTCT modules:

• Principles & practices of complementary therapies (distance learning)
• Business practice for complementary therapies (distance learning)
• Anatomy, physiology & pathology (blended learning)
• Provide aromatherapy (blended learning)

As you can see, you will be able to start your aromatherapy practice the instant you complete! You will also be eligible to join the Federation of Holistic Therapists and gain insurance.

You will learn the characteristics of 42 essential oils, and over 15 carrier oils and substances, to use in blending with clients. You will also learn a body massage routine and holistic facial routine so you can work as an aromatherapist. Please allow up to one year to complete the course. 

The course is assessed through completion of 60 case studies, assessed practice, examination and assessed assignments. Tuition is through blended learning: distance learning (i.e. via tutorials) for the theory tuition, and you will need to attend in person for the practical tuition at the Amethyst Centre.

You will then be required to attend tutorials every month by arrangement. You can do the case studies at the Amethyst Centre if you wish, or if you have premises of your own you can do some of them there: however you are not allowed to charge for case studies and your clients must understand that they are being seen by a trainee therapist.

As part of the tutorials, you will be asked to work on a client and be observed by the teacher.

If you are already a practising therapist, you are welcome to join this course. If your A&P qualification falls within the last 3 years, we are able to RPL this learning across to this qualification, otherwise you will need to repeat the AP&P module.

In the way of kit, you are required to attend wearing a therapist tunic and closed-toe shoes, with make-up kept to a minimum, hair secured back from the face, and short nails with no varnish.

The Centre will normally provide everything you need to use while you are at the Centre, such as towels, couch covers and waxes/balms/lotions. You will need to provide these yourself for your practice outside the Centre.

You will be able to pay over 12 months. A first payment of £399 will mean you need to pay £108 a month for 12 months. This will be arranged through Stripe.
