Waxing

Waxing course is offered by Whitstable Beauty School for all skill levels.  A detailed manual sits alongside this course that is sent out as a pre reading element as well as being available on the day. The course will cover the following topics:

Knowledge:

• Legislation

• Health, safety and hygiene incl. PPE

• Licensing, Insurance and professional ethics 

• Legal requirements of removal of Clinical waste

• Consultation, contra-indications, contra-actions and aftercare

• Anatomy and physiology of the skin, hair, blood and lymph

• Treatment preparation

• Treatment application and protocols

• Trouble shooting and aftercare

Practical:

• Observe a demonstration of the treatment
• Complete a full treatment using both warm and hot wax
• Complete treatment on the following areas:
• Half leg
• Full leg
• Underarm
• Bikini
• Eyebrow
• Facial
