Gain the ability to set up and safely operate equipment for various processes, read and interpret engineered drawings and welding specifications, take technical measurements using the shop tools, cut and form materials, and inspect work to verify quality.

This is an introductory welding course designed to introduce the student to welding shop safety, terminology, and tools and equipment and to provide hands-on experience with the welding tools and equipment used in a welding shop.

This 28-week (840 hours) program takes a student with little or no previous experience in the welding trade and supplies them with the necessary skills to seek employment as an apprentice welder.
Welding Technology combines the technical knowledge and artistry of joining metals. Learn to weld in a variety of formats on traditional and high-tech equipment which prepares students for a career in welding and fabrication industries.
