This is where we ensure they know how to use most basic hand tools correctly and to master the techniques of arc welding, gas welding and the use of most portable electrical tools (grinders drills etc.) that they will encounter in the trade.
Skills like sanding and painting are also taught to them as this skill is also required from an electrician at times yet it is not in the national curriculum. First aid and Occupational Health and safety are also a part of their programme to ensure a safe working environment and conditions
