Austin Community College offers two different classes, both of which transfer to our Welding Technology credit department as technical electives.
The Welding CE Certificate consist of two (2) required course sections, taken in the following order:
WLDG-1000 Introduction to Welding
WLDG-1043 Intermediate Arc Welding
Our first course (WLDG-1000) introduces you to oxyacetylene and arc welding techniques. Safety is an important focus of this class. Our second course (WLDG-1043) focuses on MIG, TIG, and flux-cored welding processes. It is required that you complete WLDG-1000, or obtain instructor approval to take this course.
We develop and deliver innovative and accessible programs to meet the needs of both individual Austinites and the organizations that employ them.
Welding Safety training is offered by Life and Safety Consultants, Inc. We believe safety training and development opportunities are a fundamental component of enhancing the knowledge and skill level of safety professionals.
Welding/Cutting Safety training Course is offered by Occupational Safety & Environmental Assoc. OSEA provides a full range of technical services and management consultation in the safety, environmental, and risk assessment areas.
This course of instruction prepares individuals for jobs as an entry-level welder in the construction and maintenance industry. Graduates may find suitable employment with construction companies, salvage firms, boilermakers, and many other kinds of businesses.
Welding Safety training is offered by Griggs Safety Consultants. At Griggs Safety Consultants, we specialize in OSHA, workplace safety, health, environmental training and auditing for your business to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Welding course is offered by Lone Star College. Lone Star College System provides comprehensive educational opportunities and programs to enrich lives.
