DurationThe Atlanta Area Council is proud to offer Winter Camp at Bert Adams Scout Camp for Scouts BSA Troops and Venturing Crews. For 5 days and 4 nights in December, Scouts BSA and Venturers will have the opportunity to camp and play at one of America's premier camps.
Our winter camp will introduce programs and merit badges that are not available at either of our summer camps. We've pulled together the best of our summer camp staff for an all-star leadership team. Scouts BSA and Venturers can attend as a troop or crew, patrol, or as an individual provisional Scout BSA/Venturer.
The Bert Adams Scout Camp was originally founded in 1928 in Vinings, Georgia. The new Bert Adams Scout Camp, located outside Covington, GA, was opened in 1960 and has been a favorite location for camping, activities, and training.
Through the generosity of our scouting supporters, Bert Adams provides state-of-the-art facilities that help create convenient and comfortable camping right in Atlanta's backyard!

Campers escape the cold with Fernbank! Campers, ages 5–10, will travel back in time to explore the coldest regions of the earth alongside Fernbank educators. Campers will play games, create crafts, and learn with exciting, hands-on activities.
This camp week, your child will learn foundational skills in soccer, football, basketball, and baseball using our licensed curriculum. We will also be adding some fitness tech to this camp.Â
