With over 13 years of experience baking custom cakes from scratch using only the finest ingredients, Shanna's quality custom cakes have become a favorite in her community. As a mom of 2, Shanna's joy of teaching children to bake inspired her to create after school baking programs for her local elementary school.
With her experience in event planning, baking, and working with children, Shanna opened Through The Looking Glass Baking Studio & Cakery in 2022. She offers baking workshops, birthday parties, and camps for all ages in a professional classroom setting - all at her 1000 sq. ft baking studio at 372 Florin Road Sacramento, CA.
Looking to get out of the house, socialize with friends and learn a new skill? This hands-on pie-making class is designed for you and all your friends. Â Every student prepares three different varieties of petite pies from scratch to take home (varieties change with the season)
Let’s welcome the winter months by making some yummy holiday-themed doughnuts! You will learn to make and decorate yeast-risen and cake-style doughnuts! Save up your calories because guests will make a batch of each type of doughnut to enjoy in the studio and take home.Â

This method of meal prep and cooking is delicious, nutritious, full of amazing flavors, and easy to put together. The secret ingredient is a delicious yum yum sauce. It makes leftovers to dream about, and you'll riff on it weekly. It's so versatile.
In this class you will start cake decorating on your first day. Frosting will be provided for practice in every class. You will receive a 2 layer cake on your final day to frost and decorate in class with the techniques you have learned.
