You don’t need to be a seasoned martial artist to defend yourself. Real self defense is fast, effective and easy to apply – and it is nothing like what you see in the movies!
RKD is a Freestyle or Mixed Martial Art (MMA) that focuses on a practical approach to self defence, and the physical health and mental well-being of our students. It is idealteam building events perth for women’s self defence.
And we regularly run women’s self defence courses. We run out of a dedicated facility (not a hired hall), specifically set up for martial arts training in the Perth suburb of Bassendean.
The self defence syllabus of RKD is based on the Krav Maga Worldwide syllabus. Krav Maga is well known for being an effective form of self defence. We complement the Krav Maga aspects of self defence with other disciplines.
Our martial arts classes for kids focus on the Korean art of Taekwondo. With athletic kicks, dynamic footwork and rapid combinations, Taekwondo training develops high levels of flexibility and coordination while improving focus and building resilience all in a fun and supportive environment.
Tai-chi Classes course is offered by Swan Hills Goju Ryu Australia. Swan Hills Goju Ryu holds regular gradings and competitions conducted by fully qualified instructors. We can also provide information on training fees and uniforms.
BJJ Classes in Perth Martial Arts Academy offer students an avenue into the worlds of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. These are the two fastest growing and most popular martial arts and combat sports in the world, and when it comes to BJJ it makes perfect sense why.
Muay Thai is a form of kickboxing that unites traditional Thai kickboxing techniques, including knees and elbows, with western style boxing. A basic class in Muay Thai consists of a Warm-up, Skipping, Stretching, Push ups, Sit ups, Technique work, Shadow boxing, Partner Drills and Sparring.
You will then be joined with the rest of the class to participate in self defence, sparring (controlled non contact fighting and other activities. There will always be a sempai to assist and guide you through your first class to ensure you have full understanding of the class.
