Welcome to Sarah Jane's Music School, a neighborhood music education center based in Northeast Minneapolis since spring of 2015. Lessons and classes now available for students young and old in a variety of instrumental studies.
Sarah Jane's Music School came as an expansion of Sarah Jane's Piano Studio. After years of noticing a need for more music education in NE and seeing fellow teachers look for a great space to offer lessons, a school was born.
Music education is a vital part to a child's upbringing whether or not they strive to be professional musicians. The skills they learn along the way are important to their development in all areas of their life from creativity to discipline; problem solving to diligence. It's our pleasure to aide you or your child in the exploration of these ares. In addition to all these skills, we get to be a part of a musical process that is fun, exciting, and so rewarding.
Our saxophone instructors will become familiar with your child’s musical goals and create a detailed lesson plan for optimum growth and excellence
Generally the child needs to be able to support the weight of the instrument with a neck strap, and be able to reach all the keys comfortably. Most children can do this by around 5th grade. If the child is ready before this age, great
Music Authority Woodwinds instrument programs are built on the same principals local middle and high schools are built on.  Students study from books designed to help them excel in school band and prepare for college auditions and music. Â
