This woodturning class will serve as a great introduction to the craft for novices. It will also afford more experienced turners opportunities to build on their current knowledge and skills.
At The Old School Makerspace, our primary focus is on building community around more hands-on arts and crafts such as woodworking, painting, drawing, and ceramics. It’s a creative coworking space where people share equipment, tools, workspace, and knowledge with one another.

This class is designed to be the core introductory class that covers good studio practices while learning how to safely use all of the equipment and tools in the main woodworking studio. It will also be the primary prerequisite class for most of the more advanced woodworking classes.
