The cardio-based dance movements incorporated into Zumba® are easy to follow and help to sculpt and tone your entire body without you even realising you are working out.
Zumba® has become a fitness sensation in recent years across the globe, due to its suitability for people of all fitness levels and all ages, but mainly because it is simply great fun!
The classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international sounds. Before you know it, you will be getting fit, improving your body shape, burning calories and most participants even see their energy levels soar too.
Zumba® classes are easy to follow, effective at getting you fit and exhilarating to take part in. We often find within our centres a fantastically loyal Zumba® community can develop, bridging age gaps, genders and international divides.
We use health as a tool to help the community embrace happiness and improve quality of life; all this is started from generating a healthy body and mind. At J7 we work tirelessly to engage with everyone in the community and make them experience happiness through a family and community driven health approach.
Improving social, emotional and psychological happiness as well physical and aesthetic happiness are all major priorities which are all provoked by stimulating and finding enjoyment through health and fitness.
Zumba classes are offered by Timms School of Dance. Students are encouraged to develop at their own pace which helps to make them feel at ease and confident, learning a new skill whilst having lots of fun, and making lots of new friends.
Zumba Fitness classes are offered by Whitchurch Dance Studio welcomes students aged 2 1/2 years to adults to a variety of classes.
Afro- Brazilian dance brings together the rhythms and swing of Afro-Brazilian percussion with the grace and energy of traditional Brazilian dance such as Samba, Samba-Reggae, Maracatu, Frevo, coco, Maxixe, Caboclinho, Dance of orixas and other styles routed in Africa.
Zumba classes are not like your normal, everyday aerobic class. There will hardly be any verbal cueing and Zumba uses "tracked music" and not continuous music. The instructor will lead the class in easy, simple movements with a combination of dance and fitness moves.
Dance Workout is a class that is designed to get the whole body moving.
