Our story
Our mission is simple: To change lives by improving health & wellbeing using the power of physical activity, sport and education – where there are no barriers to any individual, group or organisation.
Our journey so far
Our journey began in 2018, born from disillusionment and frustration from the status quo, and a belief that more could be achieved through physical activity, sport and education. A belief that by delivering targeted, high-quality services and becoming a successful business, we could better provide for the communities we serve.
It’s why our foundations were built on being a Social Enterprise. A commitment we made from day one to reinvest our profit to break down barriers and support the most vulnerable in our communities.
Every member of our team has a love for physical activity, sport and education and a personal experience of how it has positively impacted their physical, mental and social wellbeing.
It’s this focus on our ‘why’, our purpose that sets us apart. We don’t hide from being a profit-making business, as it’s these profits that are achieved by valuing our work and our people, and which allow us to make a change .
It means we’re proud of the prices we charge. What we promise in return is to deliver outcomes for those we engage and to ensure any profits we do make go towards communities who need it most. If cost is a barrier to outcomes, to making a difference, we always find an alternative approach.
How do we achieve this? Quite simply: as a team.
We have always focused on our people – not the qualifications they have, but their attitude, purpose and values. Creating this unified and highly successful team is the bedrock of our progress and success to date. To deliver the best, you need to attract and retain the best, and we believe we have the best talent to meet the needs of the many people we engage every day.
It is why we became a Real Living Wage employer, why we employ our team full-time, why we share our success equally with the whole team, why we invest in their health and wellbeing, and why we commit to invest 5% of their annual salary into their training and CPD.
Our journey so far has been exhilarating, full of successes and learning opportunities, with our mission at the forefront of everything we do. Our journey continues…
