Our aim is to spread the French language and culture(s) beyond the borders of French speaking countries. Alliance Française de Leeds is part of a worldwide network initiated in 1883 which now counts more than 800 institutes all over the world.
The DELF and DALF are official French language proficiency qualifications administered and awarded by the French Ministry of Education. They are valid for life and recognized internationally.
Our level groups as well as their progression are defined according to the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR). Our 4 skills classes are designed to develop the reception (listening/reading) and production skills of our students as well as their cultural knowledge.
