Bach To Rock is the Music School for students of all ages. B2R’s unique method is based on the knowledge that students learn best when they join together to play the music they like the most.
That’s why we use special arrangements of the music of our time and combine individual lessons with band instruction. Weekly “jam sessions” lead to Battles of the Bands and recording sessions in B2R Studios.
Our own professional recording facilities. B2R also holds regularly scheduled public concerts that encourage students to become seasoned performers. These creative group activities foster teamwork, build self-esteem and motivate students to perfect their musicianship through independent practice.
B2R offers private lessons in strings, woodwinds and brass, depending on site and faculty availability. Students learn proper technique, rhythm interpretation, note reading, theory and performance from working professionals with extensive experience in teaching music at all levels
The piano is a springboard for the study of all other instruments. On the piano, students learn to read notes simultaneously in two different clefs (treble and bass) while developing their sense of polyphony (hearing more than one sound at the same time)
B2R drum students will acquire all of the skills necessary to be a successful drummer in a band. Lessons will focus on rhythm, coordination and stick techniques as well as complex skills such as four-way coordination and polyrhythms
Vocal students at B2R can choose their own songs, putting them in the driver's seat of their musical development
One-on-one instruction combining traditional methodology with modern teaching techniques, including interpretation of tablature, sight reading, rhythm and composition
