From our beginning in 1919 to today, Bemidji State University believes in the transformative power of the liberal arts, education in the professions and the robust engagement of our students. Serving around 5,000 students in undergraduate, graduate and online degree programs, our core philosophy is built upon a commitment to environmental stewardship, community service and global understanding. Located on the western shore of Lake Bemidji, our north woods campus reminds us daily of the need to be in tune with our world.
