Bristol Science and Maths Tutoring

Sometimes we all just need that little bit of extra support to enable to reach our full potential. At Bristol Science and Mathematics Tutoring I can do just that. With 11 years of full time teaching experience, I have a huge amount of experience on supporting young people in their studies.

Having worked as a Mathematics teacher at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and taken Mathematics courses at degree level, I am able to support school students through KS3 and beyond into GCSE, IGCSE and IB standard. I have also helped college students with their Mathematics skills when accessing vocational qualifications.

As a qualified Science teacher, I have years of experience of teaching Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry to students in KS3 and in GCSE, IGCSE and IB years. I have an excellent understanding of what level of detail is expected by the examinations boards and take the time to break down the concepts - starting with the fundamental ideas and building upwards. I really enjoy helping with all of the Sciences as I like the diversity of topics covered.

My Physics specialism enables me to support students in Physics at A level or for college vocational courses. I taught Physics A level for 10 years and so have a huge amount of experience with getting students through their examinations. I can help in a number of ways: simple examinations technique tips, going through the topics in step-by-step fashion, support with Mathematical skills, etc.

I either work from home, where we can sit in the kitchen and work through content there, or I can travel to you and work in your space or we can arrange a mutually convenient location. If I am having to travel to you or somewhere else, there will be a small extra charge to cover my travelling costs.  I also have a current DBS certificate that can be provided if required.
