Construction Workplace Safety Training

Upon successful completion of this course the learner will: Understand where to locate legislation used in Ontario governing ?the storage, handling and use of chemicals Describe the purpose and functions of the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change Describe the purpose behind the GHS

This course has been designed to offer a comprehensive review of uses, hazard recognition, safe operating practices, how to understand load charts that affect the stability of the equipment at height.

Understand where to find legislation used where propane use is required Be familiar with the hazards of handling propane and the risks associated with Carbon Monoxide exposure Establish and demonstrate a safe connection to Propane sources on construction sites 

Be able to identify the purpose and layout of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act? and Regulations Understand how the IRS functions and how its duties and responsibilities shape health and safety in workplaces Clearly identify key information for Regulations used in many workplaces 

This program covers both Group A (Scissor Lift) and B (Articulated/ boom) platform equipment. Full day courses offer new users a comprehensive review of operating principles, inspection, physics and hazards of MEWP's.
