Flirty Lashes was established in November 2016. At the time I was 19 years old and was working full time in an accounts & payroll position. I started lashing whilst my now Husband & I were building our first home, to make some extra money as a side hustle.

However, early into 2017, I got fired from my full-time job, due to my ‘attitude‘. (aka: I didn’t let the boss walk over me. But I think mostly, it was because I was winning the footy tips ).

At the time, I had also been trying for baby #1 for a while. So, I decided to take a risk & stay solely self-employed, allowing me to focus on my health and growing my new business. Fast forward nearly 7 years, I’m 27, I have 3 little girls, Tilly (5), Ocean (2), & Zali (2), and have created my own beauty empire, making over $25,000 worth of sales each month.

Becoming a Lash & Brow Artist and my own boss was definitely one of my best decisions. I’ve built a business that earns 6 figures as well as launched my own brand of lash & brow supplies and our Sunshine Coast Lash & Beauty Training Academy.

My Beauty Career has changed my life inside, & outside of ”work’. Not only has it allowed me to absolutely LOVE being at work. It’s also allowed me to become financially stable, even with being flexible in the hours I chose to work, so that I can be there for all the special family moments.

It’s even more amazing that my Husband, Josh, has been able to spend the past 3.5 years, being a full-time stay-at-home Dad. I definitely couldn’t have done any of this, without his trust and support. I still think it’s crazy how I got here.

Afterall it was only meant to be a side hustle, to help get us by… I actually left school thinking I wanted to get into the police force. But here I am, so grateful this path chose me. I seriously love every minute, doing what I do. I feel like I’m booked back-to-back with friend catch up dates. Just ditch the coffee (for them) and add fresh lashes & brows
