Pigment is implanted beneath the skin surface by means of a small, sterile, disposable needle to produce the appearance of fuller eyebrows or to enhance the natural features of the face. Microblading is considered semi permanent, as it will need to be refreshed every 12 to 18 months to prevent fading.
Without refreshing, the pigment will fade over time and typically last between one and three years, depending on skin type, metabolic rate, pigment, sun exposure and other factors. A consultation and patch test is necessary before a microblading procedure can be scheduled.
Ombre Brow is a technique done with a machine, which creates a mist/powdered look and can be used in combination with microblading to create density or on its own to create a powdery but defined brow shape with a faded front and a crisp tail.
This technique is especially suited to skin types which microblading doesn’t work for, such as oily skin, and for those who just want a more defined look than microblading can offer.
Results for Ombre powder brows last longer than microblading, with the technique being less likely to require touch up appointments, whilst maintaining an even fade out and thus preserving the skin's integrity.
The result can be as light and natural or as bold as you request it to be, and the delicate colour gradient achieved by the shading will stop you from having a blocky look.
The course is of the highest quality and are fully accredited and approved by ABT and The Guild. I run a studio in Edinburgh city centre and will be available there when you need assistance. I am Gemma Campbell.
