Genesee Community College’s main campus is located at 1 College Road in Batavia, New York. The City of Batavia, just 3 miles away, offers stores, restaurants, fast food, and a movie theater. Buffalo and Rochester, two large cities, are located about 30 miles to the west and east, respectively. New York City is approximately 368 miles from Batavia. Toronto (Ontario, Canada) is about 125 miles way.
Driving
- To reach Genesee Community College’s main campus in Batavia, from the New York State Thruway, use Exit 48. Turn right (north) on Route 98 and cross over the Thruway. Turn right onto West Saile Road (Airport Road) and continue to Bank Street. Turn right on Bank Street. After crossing over the Thruway again, turn left onto Assemblyman R. Stephen Hawley Drive. Genesee Community College is located on the left.
Flying
- You can fly into Buffalo, Rochester, or Toronto.
Train
- There are train stations in Depew, NY (outside of Buffalo) and in Rochester. You would need to take a taxi from the train station to the bus station, and take the bus to Batavia.
Student Union
- Opened in 2006, this 10,500-square-foot complex provides space for student co-curricular, social events and recreational activities. The SEI Office, Veterans Services Office and Student Government Center are housed in the Student Union. The building includes a fireplace, Starbucks, dining area, TV, a bay of computer terminals, pool table and ping-pong tables.
- During the academic year, the Union is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 5:00pm; and Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The SEI Office, which is now located in the Union, is also open and staffed during these hours to accommodate use of the building and equipment.
