Golden Route Badminton Academy was launched in March 2010 by Mrs. Hemalatha and Mr.Vikneswara who has been part of the sport for over 23 years as a player and 17 years as a coach.
Both had a passion for Badminton and their mission was to set up their Own Badminton Academy and pass on the ‘finer points’ of the game to the youth in the community, also to create a wider and more comprehensive badminton progression route for juniors in Golden Route Badminton Academy.
Badminton is a great racket sport for fitness and it is suitable for people from all age ranges. Badminton is considered the fastest sports among all racket sports where a shuttlecock can reach a speed of up to 90.0 m/s (201 mph).
