Welcome to the Grampian Construction Training Limited website. The website has been developed as the main vehicle for informing members and non-members of the groups planned training activities within the Grampian Region.

The web site will highlight the up and coming courses and will allow the members to book their training needs with ease, directly with the group administrator.

Scottish Training Groups

The Scottish Construction Industry recognises that a skilled and professional workforce is the key to ensuring successful growth. It needs to have a workforce that is equipped for the future and has the ability to work safely.

Training must play an important part of not only meeting legislation but ensuring business development in Construction. To ensure that these needs are met Grampian Construction Training Ltd (GCT Ltd), funded by the CITB, assists its members to obtain cost effective, local, professional training.

In Scotland, 18 Training Groups operate with the majority now being Independent. The membership is made up of companies who are in direct construction or who work in related services. Annually all Training Groups in Scotland are invited to meet to discuss best practice, initiatives and ideas and hear updates from CITB.

Our Training Group

Grampian Construction Training was formed was formed in 1998 from the amalgamation of the Grampian Association of Civil Engineering Contractors and the Grampian Builders Training Group.

In 2013, the group became independent and changed its status to Company Limited by Guarantee. GCT is a “not for profit organisation” supported by funding from CITB.

Grampian Construction Training encourages its members or representatives, to attend 2 meetings on an annual basis – the AGM and an ordinary general meeting.

This is an opportunity for members to find out information on the general running of the Group, to discuss topics relevant to construction and to listen to “guest speakers”. The Directors meet on a quarterly basis and this allows the general business activities of the group to be actioned.
