To ensure your business is operating within the framework prescribed by the Work at Height Regulations 2005, it is essential that any employees involved in the assembly, alteration or dismantling of scaffold towers are trained to a competent level.

A swing lift (or swing jib) is a swinging crane that features a static post for support, and swinging arm. They are used primarily for lifting heavy items, such as dense machinery, and moving them short or medium distances.

On successful completion of the course, the candidates will be presented with an NPORS Trained Operators Card and certificate, evidencing their abilities. They will be able to establish the weight and dimensions of loads and communicate this information to the crane operator.

By the end of the course the successful candidates will be able to carry out a safe pre-shift inspection and be able to operate the machine safely and correctly in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions and accepted good practice.

Here at Health and Safety Training Ltd we offer comprehensive risk assessment training to instruct candidates in the principles of risk assessment. The course is only one day long but covers some of the most important aspects of identifying and assessing risks and hazards in the workplace.
