Welcome to the Love Fest

Based in San Francisco, we offer small-batch, sustainably sourced yarn + fiber goods. We design our collections to spark creativity in makers (that’s you!) while creating meaningful opportunities to support and elevate fiber-producing communities. Our incredibly skilled partner artisans practice their craft in small, family-run workshops in Nepal, Tibet and America's West Coast.

Thoughtful sourcing matters

We love the sourcing process, it’s one of our favorite parts of the job. For us, yarn is so much more than a simple crafting material. Each of our fiber collections has a story that is intrinsically linked to landscapes, family farms and artisan livelihoods.

We aim to inspire a sense of connection to the places our fibers originate and the vibrant communities that create them.

Made from ethically & sustainably-sourced fibers

We research and choose our fiber sources for their high ethical and environmental standards, as well as beauty. Our alpaca, yak, sheep and cotton fibers are left undyed or are pigmented with either plant-based or toxin-free synthetic dyes.

While we make a conscious choice to create the majority of our products from natural, biodegradable fibers, we support the inspired use of recycled materials. We are the first company to create a series of super chunky, core-spun yarn (our ReLove line!) that utilizes recycled plastic bottle fiber. Our utilization of recycled fibers supports economies built on the reuse of materials and their diversion from landfills.

Made by women in family-run workshops

We love the fibercraft process and our partner artisans are our biggest inspiration. As a woman-owned business, we find it particularly motivating that currently ALL of our yarn and soft goods collections are made by women. Each of our workshops emphasize the importance of skill training and flexible employment opportunities, so that artisans can find ways to help support their aspirations and families.

And each location—from the West Coast to the Himalayas—is a place we know, love and feel deeply invested in. We hope you can see and feel that difference as you work with our fibers.

Day-to-Day Commitment & Our Environmental Impact

We’re committed to using low-impact, recyclable (and compostable, whenever feasible) packaging: You’ll find that we label and package our products as minimally as possible. Our labels are made from paper as are all of our fiber packs—you’ll find little to no plastic in our packaging choices.

Long-term Commitment & Our Social Impact

Love Fest Fibers was founded with the goal of investing in the yarn maker communities with which we work. As we grow, we will invest a percentage of our profits in programs that directly benefit our partners. We aim to take you on that journey as we explore our partner communities' needs.
