Maesco, the abbreviation for “malaysia association of energy service companies” was formed and registered with the registrar of societies in september 2000 under the registration name of “pertubuhan syarikat syarikat perkhidmatan tenaga malaysia”. It was incorporated during the implementation of the malaysian industrial energy efficiency improvement project (mieeip) by the malaysian government’s implementation agency.
As it’s name denotes, maesco was formed to bring together energy service companies (escos) within the nation under one entity. In togetherness under this entity, the association was formed with the constitutional objective of;
The following logo was fostered of which the colors yellow and green both relates to the Association’s belief, objective and practices. Yellow denotes the commitment of the Association and members alike towards contributing professional beneficial services to the Society in general, whilst Green denotes the Association’s image in relation to it’s emphasis towards ‘green’ practices and responsibility towards the environment.
The Association is regulated by the Association’s Constitution under the governance of the Societies Act 1966. Under the Constitution, the Association is to have a Committee comprising five Council Members and nine Committee Members. This has however been amended to five Council members and five Committee Members.
On completion of the training participant will be able to perform energy auditing tasks according to best practice standards and international norms.
