An artist and perfumer from Sheffield, UK, my work takes the beauty and craft of perfumery and places it on a contemporary art platform; revealing how it can be considered an art-form, in line with the likes of painting, sculpture and photography. My work aims to reveal how scent is able to accommodate contemporary art notions such as narrative, metaphor, symbolism and portraiture.
My work takes the guise of exhibitions, residencies, workshops and events across the UK and internationally. My main body of work, entitled 'Perfume as Practice', uses perfume to create portraits of other artists. Other artistic concerns involve using scent to explore narrative, religion, travel and the environment.
I am also co-founder of Sheffield-based arts initiative called Fronteer, which provides creative opportunities for artists across the UK. As of October 2020 I opened Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions, or if you would like to initiate potential collaborations.
My perfume making workshops give you a fantastic and unique opportunity to find out more about the perfume making process, create a perfume of your own and explore the creative possibilities of fragrance in a fun and informal way.
