After School Enrichment
Miss Shannon's Sewing teaches hand sewing and embroidery as after school enrichment at schools in Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, Burbank and Simi Valley. Schools include The Wesley School, Oakwood, Buckley, Curtis and St. Francis Xavier.
Sewing Studios
Miss Shannon's Sewing also offers classes taught at our studios. Since we teach hand sewing and embroidery at so many schools our studio classes focus on teaching children how to sew on a machine.

In 2009 Shannon Allbright, a former clothing designer, started teaching sewing at a summer camp which quickly turned into an after school enrichment program. 10 years later, with a staff of 17 beloved instructors, Miss Shannon's Sewing is running 50 classes a week.
After 5 years of teaching exclusively hand sewing and embroidery at schools, Miss Shannon's Sewing opened up their own studio to teach machine sewing. At the studio children become familiar with a sewing machine. They start by learning how to thread a machine, make a bobbin, and sew straight lines...
