Since its formation in 1994, NIHM, Kolkata has endeavored to make students to turn out as “True Hotel Professional”.  It was founded by a group of educationist and enthusiastic hoteliers who realized requirements of the Hospitality Industry and demanded the professional performance rather than mare paper qualification from their Graduates. Henceforth, they have developed a unique Indo-American approach of “Hospitality Education”, which gives its students a wide and varied perspective of Hospitality Operation and Business.

The style and system of education at NIHM is very much based on feasibility with defined models of implementation. Intertwined with fundamental theory and technical analysis a student of NIHM is exposed to practical experience to make evaluation of information. In time the students are placed under the watchful eyes of their mentor faculty to develop as worthwhile member of the team of industry rulers.
