Northeast Florida Safety Council was founded in 1942 by a group of dedicated local Jacksonville professionals who were concerned about the growing traffic issue in the community.
Their purpose still motivates us today as the three biggest causes of fatalities on the road are alcohol, speeding, and lack of seat belt use. A strong safety culture is good for business and good for employees at work, on the road and at home.
Today, we proudly serve 9 northeast Florida counties as a nonprofit, with 5 facilities, dozens of partners, more than 25 team members and a wide range of environmental health, safety, and traffic training courses to meet your needs.
