In 1961, San Jacinto College opened its doors to the citizens and communities of East Harris County. This fall, the College celebrated its remarkable 60-year journey to become a leader in educational excellence in our community and a top five community college in the nation. Our anniversary theme, “60 Years of Service,” embodies everything we stand for: community enrichment, student-centered support, and workforce partnerships to build strong foundations for the future. Even after 60 years, we are just getting started.
