The Chinese language program at UCI is tailored to accommodate both beginning learners and those who have prior experience in the language.
The goal of those four courses is to help students learn Japanese for communication as well as to build a firm foundation in the language. The four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing are equally emphasized.
All courses are designed to develop or improve the four language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. In addition, the program provides students with Korean cultural components by viewing authentic Korean audio-visual materials, creating and presenting their own skits.
