Steve & Kate's Camp

Look around our camp, and you’ll see kids absorbed in designing, building, creating, playing, eating, and clowning. One of the reasons they’re so happy and engaged is because they’ve chosen their activities and planned their days themselves.

This creates the part that isn’t quite so obvious to the naked eye, but it’s the real payoff. When you empower kids to make their own choices and be their own bosses, they tap into new reserves of confidence, resiliency, and creativity. Kids need freedom and space, not suffocating structure, to grow like this. When they get it, watch out!
