Our dance classes are among the most affordable in Newcastle, our teachers are professional, talented and friendly and kids are learning in a non-pressure environment. Whether you just want to keep active or have a real passion and desire for dance, Studi-O Dance School is the place to be.
Studi-O Dance School first began in 2008 in Valentine, NSW with a small group of students who were looking to dance and have fun. It was started by Olivia Williams – qualified teacher and choreographer, with international accomplishments. The school soon flourished and our fun and energetic jazz/funk classes soon turned into popular classes of jazz, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, ballet technique and acrobatics.
Many students wishing to turn their passion into something more challenging receive private lessons and join our competition troupes. These troupes have been very successful at scoring places at many local eisteddfods.
Acrobatics is the perfect class to teach your child balance and co-ordination as well as sharing in the benefits of working within a team environment.
Hip Hop dance classes are offered by Studi-O Dance School. Studi-O Dance School offers fun dance classes for all ages in a happy and encouraging environment. Students will develop their confidence and performance, while getting fit and flexible at the same time!
This style works with the body’s natural lines and energy, and dancers develop a greater range and fluidity of movement.
Students will learn from the PDA Unique Technique Syllabus. It is great for all ages and develops strong tap technique with expression, challenging rhythms and sounds.
Students will learn from the CSTD Modern Jazz Syllabus. Acquire jazz technique and flexibility in a fun and energetic class, while dancing to all the latest hits.
