Tecto Protection started life back in 2004 and has gone through many changes over the years just like most businesses. We celebrated 10 years of trading in 2014 and continued to grow from strength to strength, with the addition of new staff and new products to our portfolio.
BACA Workwear & Safety Ltd acquired certain assets of Total Protection UK Ltd in April 2017. With the larger backing and structure, we now operate Europe wide and for over 30 years have been providing workwear and safety equipment to businesses all over the UK and Europe.
We recently changed legal entity, to become Tecto Protection in January 2021. Now in our 17th year of trading, we continue to work closely with our customers to provide a solution that makes it easy for them to obtain the product and service they are looking for at a competitive price and delivered on time.
The Team
Our people are as important to us as they are you, that’s why Tecto Protection has a loyal team of staff here to help you with any enquiry you may have, some have been with us for over 10 years. Their in-depth knowledge of products and services will give you the trust and confidence that they can be relied upon to provide the right advice and solution for your requirement.
Our Mission
At Tecto Protection, “Our Mission” is to help companies and individuals make the correct decision when it comes to their health and safety requirements. Located in Moulton Park, Northampton, our team are dedicated to ensuring that you purchase the correct equipment, because after all, it may be a decision you only get wrong once.
Every company’s number one priority should be to ensure the safety of its employees, no matter what job they are undertaking.
Safety allows for comfort and confidence in every aspect of our lives and sometimes to ensure this, it may be as simple as putting on a hard hat. However, in other cases, ensuring safety could involve having the correct gas detector, a harness, lanyards, tripods, etc.
The list can seem endless and can often be daunting for companies and individuals, but at Tecto Protection, we aim to provide the correct information, along with the knowledge and understanding to guide our customers to put in place the correct safety provisions.
The implications of it going wrong are unbearable to imagine. Unfortunately, we see incidents of inadequate safety equipment regularly in the news. Thankfully H.S.E. regulations are ensuring that these incidents are becoming less of an occurrence.
People now have a better understanding of health and safety than they did, even 10 years ago. But it’s good to know that there is someone you can rely on at the end of the phone, who will put the interests of your employees before anything else and advise you on the correct safety solutions for your company.
In some cases, within the industry, risks are unavoidable. But at Tecto Protection we can help you to put the correct provisions in place to reduce the risk level to as low as possible, allowing your company to work with the assurance that every measure has been put in place and you have met every protocol to allow your company to be as safe an environment as possible.
Our mission is to help everyone we work with, whether it is one-man or multi-national companies, to understand safety. Being aware of the dangers of your working environment is only the first step to ensuring safety. Knowing how to monitor and react to the dangers in place, as well as knowing the effects of not doing so, is imperative to understanding safety.
We want to make sure our customers can return home in the same condition as they left, whilst having the confidence to return to work, knowing their welfare is being correctly taken care of.
Policies
At Tecto Protection, we are very passionate about keeping our staff, suppliers and customers safe. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to us to maintain up-to-date records of procedures and policies in relation to Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality processes.
Our company policy documents including Health & Safety Policy, ITCC Certificates and Insurance Documents are available below. Please click on the link to the appropriate document below to view.
Accreditations
Our Accreditations are important to us and demonstrate our ability to deliver training to the highest standards and allegiance with manufacturers. Please click on the relevant link to see our certification.
Service Certification
Your confidence in us to provide a quality service is backed up with our service certificates. These are supplied by the manufacturers after our engineers have attended the relevant course and undergone numerous hours of training and demonstrated their ability to not only maintain equipment to the relevant standard but also identify potential issues and problems before they occur.
As you would expect every manufacturer has a slightly different way of doing things and it is important that we know about these differences first hand, not all toxic sensors are replaced at three years old, not all breathing apparatus have the same service interval period and filters changed.
We need to understand this so that we can best advise you, our engineers are always available to discuss with you any concerns you have surrounding the service of your equipment and why we must change certain parts even if they have not been used since their last service.
