Formally known as Hawthorn Studio of Dance. Established in 1991, The Dance Studio Academy of Performing Arts, has been providing expert dance tuition for over 25 years. Offering classes in many styles and for all age groups, The Dance Studio aims to create fun and enjoyable classes whilst maintaining a high quality of dance tuition. We offer RAD Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Baby-Toes Ballet classes for students 2 years and up.
We teach a range of contemporary styles including the popular lyrical contemporary.
Hip Hop classes are for students from 8 years of age and is a style often seen in film clips.
Tap dance is characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion.
Junior and senior dance students work on musical theatre pieces to developing their use of voice, singing & acting in combination with dance.
Jazz dance involves flexibility training, isolations and fun upbeat choreography.
