The first class, "Intro to Sew" teaches how to use the sewing machine. If sewing is new to you or you have a machine you're not familiar with, we are here to teach you regardless of make, model or age of the machine. Our "Intro to Sew" schedule is here for adults.
The first step in learning how to sew is learning how to use the sewing machine. We teach on any make and model of machine. Our goal is for our students to be comfortable on their sewing machine so they can sew better!
Need some focus time on your quilting project? This is the perfect time! Utilize our sewing space with large tables and expert guidance while you work on your own project.
Sometimes the most frustrating element of sewing is understanding fit. In this class we will take proper body measurements and learn how they correspond with the various pattern brands. We will also learn the terms and techniques commonly used on patterns and how to understand the instructions.
Learn how to operate your serger. This lesson covers threading, basic operations, and trouble-shooting. You'll learn how to properly thread your serger, and then we'll complete samples using the various settings on the machine. All materials are included in the class fee.
Learn the basics of using your embroidery machine, stabilizers, types of fabric and how to use the built-in designs. We teach on all brands of embroidery machines.
