Wessex Tutors

Founded in 1984, Wessex Tutors is a small, family-run independent college with an impressive academic record. We offer tailored 1-1 tuition and a place for students to sit their A level and GCSE exams. Our tutors work with students on a full-time or part-time basis, offering tuition both at the college or online. Tuition at home may also be arranged.

Just a three-minute walk from Southampton Central station, we’re easily reachable by train, bus or car. We have several teaching rooms and a study room - students can take a break or work, make hot drinks in our kitchen, or get some air in our garden.

Our tuition students can take their exams here and get a discount on exam fees. We also welcome external / private candidates to sit their exams in our small friendly centre. Our team are kind as well as professional, and if you’re nervous you can even come to have a look around ahead of the big day. All our rooms are small so you’ll only be with 11 other candidates at most.

Our tutors have excellent reputations with their students and long track records of success. Highly regarded in their fields, several are exam board Lead Examiners or Examiners, others have been Heads of Department in schools and colleges, and others have Ph.Ds in the subjects they teach.
