Level 1 Award in British Sign Language Qualifications is designed to teach learners to communicate with Deaf people in British Sign Language (BSL) on a range of topics that involve simple, everyday language. You will gain basic skills and confidence in production and reception of BSL.

This is Part 2 of the L1 BSL qualification and is a continuation from the Introduction to Signed Communication (Z061). It will enable students to progress to the formal Signature Level 1 examinations.

This British Sign Language Improvers course builds on prior knowledge and continues to assist learners to communicate more effectively with deaf people at a basic level. Ths course covers the basics, after the course you will be able to communicate confidently to Deaf people, using basic sign language skills in a variety of situations.
