Working in confined spaces is a highly hazardous activity and is governed by various legislative instruments. Confined spaces are commonly found in tanks, ducts, flues, chimneys, containers or other similar enclosed or partially enclosed structures.

This course is appropriate for those who are using a non-slewing telescopic materials handler with a lifting capacity of less than 3 tonnes. A telehandler is a self-propelled wheeled machine which has a hydraulically operated telescopic boom which can move vertically, horizontally.

‘Working at height’ is whenever people are at risk of falling from, into or through one level to another or at risk of hitting others below with falling objects.

This course is designed for employees who are required to oversee/monitor the safety of workers on a work site.

EWPs are powered mobile plant designed to lift or lower people and equipment to a work location, by means of a telescoping device or articulated device, beyond a base support. This course trains and assesses in the operation of a scissor type lift (unrestricted height) and boom lift .

To provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to conduct civil construction backhoe / loader operations for a range of mandatory tasks, the fitting, use and removal of attachments and operator maintenance activities.
