DurationAcro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with acrobatics. We are inspired by the beautiful professional dance performances of Cirque du Soleil and want to harness that joyful movement in our Acro classes!
Unlike conventional gymnastics, we do not use an apparatus in this class. The tricks performed in this class are typically taught on mats and eventually move to the floor. Students in this class will improve their strength and flexibility to execute the moves demonstrated in an Acro routine safely. This fun and dynamic class is a favourite for kids who are always on the move and is offered at several levels to accommodate the various degrees of expertise and strength.

Any dancers that are ready for their exams will be invited to do so. Every dancer will work towards doing an exam each year however it can take a few years to develop certain acro skills so not every dancer will do an exam each year.
This program is great for acrobats, gymnasts and dancers alike. Focus is on improving tumbling and dance skills while combining both in routines and performance. Acro is a unique and fun experience.
Acro is a new stylized form of dance that teaches tricks executed on a hard dance surface unlike traditional gymnastics, which are executed on sprung mats.
