The lessons we deliver are progressive and developmental, nurturing independence and confidence in all of our students.
The Dance Academy, based in Thurcaston, is a friendly dance school, with a welcoming atmosphere.
We pride ourselves on originality and personality within performance and ensure all lessons are both developmental and fun! We are a family-oriented dance school that caters to the individual needs of each child we teach.

We welcome children from the age of 2 years upwards, offering weekly classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Acro.
Within these classes students have the opportunity to take part in Performance exams with British Theatre Dance Association twice annually.
Along side this, students perform in a Spring Showcase as well as in our Annual Show towards the end of the year.
Other performing opportunities throughout our calendar include local events, such as Birstall and Anstey Gala which are great opportunities for the students to develop their performance skills and self confidence.
Acro classes are offered by Richardz Dance & Fitness. With an emphasis on great technique and having fun, we help you to get the very best out of yourself and to have a great time doing it.
Our Acrobatic Arts class focus’ on acrobatic dance moves & balance, where the focus is on strength, poise and flexibility. The aim is to incorporate these moves into dance routines.
This class help individuals to gain confidence, boost self esteem, make new friends, keep fit and healthy and also give dancers a focus and outlet away from school, technology and work.
Perfect in combination with other styles of dance to promote flexibility, strength & incorporating gymnastic steps & tricks in choreography with confidence & ease.
Commonly referred to as Acro, these classes are a type of gymnastics but more of a beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements.
