Each class begins with breathing alignment exercises in the center floor followed by barre work and stretching.
Class continues in the center floor, practicing the elements learned at the barre. Fuller more free movements are practiced moving across the floor culminating in small jumps and grand allegro – big jumps also moving across the floor.

For true beginner students, this class is the perfect introduction to the fundamentals of ballet. Develop your skillset in traditional dance elements in a non-competitive, fun environment with live musical accompaniment.

Pointe Dance Classes are offered by South Bay Dance Center for all ages and skill level. South Bay Dance Center is recognized by many bay area professional dancers and college faculty members as the premiere dance education facility for serious dance students in the greater San Jose region.
Basic ballet introduction: body positioning, correct terminology, all while playing. Your child will be involved in small choreographed dances to be performed at our semi-annual school recitals.
Classical ballet instruction. Level III*and IV include Pointe.
