Dancers must be enrolled in this class for two years (year-round) in order to be considered for evaluation for pointe shoes. There will be no performance element to this class.
Dancers must wear a leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers.
Beginners learn from highly trained professionals in a comfortable and kind setting. Experienced dancers are challenged to strengthen their skills and continue to grow and learn in an inclusive environment.

A deep breathing and alignment warm-up, barre, center floor and grand allegro moving across the floor. Using the elements learned in basics as the building blocks, barre exercises expand and increase in repetitions and speed and include more stretching
Proper ballet training stresses pulling up (using strong muscles of the stomach, back and bottom to pull the body up and off of the legs, allowing the dancer to move with strength and grace.
Ballet is the foundation of most dance forms. At MPAC, we teach basic French terminology, pulling from all styles of ballet. Students in ballet will develop solid technique, strength, agility, grace, poise, flexibility, and balance.
The foundation of all dance genres. Students are highly encouraged to study ballet first or along with other genres of dance.
